I love baking granola and I’m sure a lot of you feel the exact same way. The only problem with baking it is that it takes more time than I am willing to give to bake. I wanted something simpler, fewer ingredients and still crisps up. My solution to this, cooking on the stove! This maple tahini stovetop granola is super easy, customizable and is done in just 10 minutes.

Oats coated with tahini and maple syrup and spices, ready to be cooked in a pan over the stovetop.

What ingredients do you need to make Maple Tahini Stovetop Granola?

  • Tahini: The runnier the better! You can also use other natural nut/seed butters. It should only contain the nut/seed in question with/without salt.
  • Maple Syrup: Or any other liquid sweetener. I personally love the taste of maple syrup with tahini.
  • Spices: You can choose anything from cinnamon to pumpkin pie spice. Easy to customize.
  • Add Ins: What’s your favorite additions to granola? This part is totally optional, but I personally like adding pepitas, raisins and cacoa nibs. But, definitely make it your own.

How to make your granola on the stove top

  1. Combine your chosen ingredients in a large saute pan.
  2. Bring pan up to medium heat and keep stirring. Keep the oats moving to prevent your oats from burning.
  3. After 5 minutes of stirring, lower the heat slightly and keep stirring for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Remove pan from heat and sprinkle in your add ins then store to combine.

Storing your maple tahini stovetop granola

Once your oats are toasted perfectly, you need to let your granola completely cool. Feel free to keep it in the pan as it cools. Once your granola completely cools, store your granola in a resealable container, preferrably a glass container. Your granola can be stored for up to 2 weeks.
