Smoky Split Pea Soup

This easy vegan split pea soup is hearty and loaded with smoky, umami flavors. Can be made on the stove top or in your instant pot.

step 1

Heat up oil in instant pot and sauté your onions, carrots and celery. Once softened, add in your crushed garlic and once fragrant add the herbs and spices.

step 2

Add in the split peas and the broth and then seal the pressure cooker and cook on manual for 15 minutes.

step 3

Once the soup is done cooking, stir in some miso paste mixed with a little water. Your soup will continue to thicken as it cools.
